No special preparation is needed for the procedure, but it is advisable not to overheat in the sun or sunbathing, and not to take certain medications that may have an effect during the procedure (blood thinners, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) – if you are taking any of these, please warn a specialist).

Inject 1-2 ml of the product into the upper layers of the skin with a fine needle in small amounts. A superficial intradermal injection technique is used where the product is injected between the epidermis and the dermis at a depth of approximately 1-2 mm. As soon as the product is injected, a small papule is formed on the surface of the skin.

The procedure lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the volume. The injection areas can be anaesthetised if necessary.

During the first few hours, the skin may be red and slightly swollen – this is a normal reaction that will subside within a few hours. There may be some bruising. The papules that appear at the injection sites may persist for up to several days.
